NOTES ON CARE AND SAFETY

We care very much about the health and safety of humans and the earth! Therefore, we have given much attention and effort into making sure we do no harm. Please take time to read and understand what is in our candles, and how to enjoy them safely.

• Fragrance oils used to infuse candles are 100% non-toxic and compliant with the strictest regulations in the world—California’s Prop 65 Initiative. Therefore, fragrance oils used are free of all carcinogens and toxins, including reproductive toxins and known endocrine disruptors.

• For many reasons, it’s important that candle wicks be trimmed to 1/4 inch prior to every burn. Wicks that are too long can cause the flame to burn inefficiently and unpredictably. Also, wicks that are not trimmed can create a build up of carbon and soot, resulting in a burn that is not clean. A properly trimmed candle will burn longer and give off a stronger scent throw as well. Please comply.

• Never burn candles longer than 4 hours at a time.

• All candles are burn tested per industry standards. Each candle purchase includes a Warning sticker and card with candle care instructions, which are based on results from burn testing and per industry standards. See below for a complete list of warnings and candle care instructions—

  • The first time burning, ensure candle burns long enough to fully melt wax to the edge of the vessel.

  • Keep away from flammable objects, children, and pets.

  • Always trim wick to 1/4” each time before lighting.

  • Keep melt pool free of debris.

  • Stop use when 1/2” of unmelted wax remains.

  • Burn only on a heat resistant surface and supervise at all times.

  • Never burn candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
